# Connect a Nuki lock to Biloki
## Once your Nuki lock is linked to Biloki, access codes are created and sent automatically for each booking - no need to manage them manually.
**What you need before you start**
1. A Nuki Smart Lock installed on your door
2. A Nuki Bridge (for the internet connection) or a Nuki Smart Lock Pro (built-in WiFi)
3. An active Nuki Web account ([web.nuki.io](http://web.nuki.io/))
4. An active Nuki Smart Hosting subscription
💡 The Nuki lock is installed in less than 5 minutes inside your door, without drilling or screws. It fits onto your existing lock.
**Step 1 - Install and set up your Nuki lock**
1. Download the Nuki app on your smartphone (iOS or Android)
2. Follow the steps in the app to install and configure your lock
3. Set a security code to prevent your guests from changing the settings
4. Disable Bluetooth pairing so that your guests cannot pair the lock with another smartphone - in the app: Functions & Configuration \> Button & LED \> Bluetooth pairing
**Step 2 - Activate Nuki Web and connect the lock**
1. In the Nuki app, open your lock’s settings
2. Go to Functions & Configuration \> Integrations \> Nuki Web
3. Follow the instructions to create or connect your Nuki Web account
4. Check that remote access is enabled on your lock
**Step 3 - Connect Nuki to Biloki**
1. In Biloki, go to Marketplace
2. Find the Nuki card and click on “Activate”
3. Then go to settings, and click on “add a lock”
4. The connection to Nuki will be offered: click on it
5. You will be redirected to Nuki Web - log in to your account
6. Authorise Biloki to access your Nuki locks
7. Select the lock or locks to associate with your properties
💡 Once connected, Biloki automatically generates access codes for all FUTURE bookings (Airbnb, [Booking.com](http://booking.com/), Expedia or direct bookings), not for existing bookings. Here is how to handle existing bookings in your calendar:
Bookings that exist at the time of connection will not generate a code automatically - you will need to create them manually (24 hours before the start of the booking; if it is more than 24 hours before the start of the booking, Biloki will not offer you the guest):
1. From the lock’s page in settings, click on + Add a code
2. Select the guest linked to the relevant booking from the list of beneficiaries
3. Choose the type Set duration and enter the start and end dates matching the booking
4. Click on Create the code
**For permanent access (owner, employee):**
For people who need permanent access to the property:
1. From the lock’s page, click on + Add a code
2. Select the owner or employee concerned
3. In “code type”, select Set duration
4. Choose a long duration to keep access for as long as needed, over 1 year
5. Click on Create the code
**Step 4 - Display the access in the guest guide**
1. Go to Properties and open the page of the relevant property
2. In the Guest guide tab, click on Property access
3. Add an access and select your Nuki lock from the list of connected locks detected by Biloki
⚠️ If your lock does not appear in the list, check that remote access is enabled in the Nuki app, that the connection to Nuki Web is established, and that the lock is associated with a property in Settings \> Connected locks.
