title: (Co-host mode) - Create a property in co-host mode on Biloki and connect it to Airbnb and Booking
description: Co-host mode in Biloki is designed for concierge services managing properties belonging to third-party owners. Unlike standard host mode where the concierge connects their own Airbnb and Booking account, in co-host mode it is the owner who connects their Airbnb/Booking account to Biloki via their owner interface.

# (Co-host mode) - Create a property in co-host mode on Biloki and connect it to Airbnb and Booking

## Do you manage properties belonging to owners? Follow this step-by-step guide to create properties on Biloki and support your owners in connecting their Airbnb and Booking.com accounts from their owner space.

**Before you start**

Make sure the owner has granted you full co-host status on Airbnb before starting. To find out more: Understanding co-host mode on Airbnb.

We also recommend guiding your owners through the connection process to provide a high level of service.

💡 If the property already exists in Biloki (for example if you added it in host mode) and you simply want to give the owner access, there is no need to follow the full process below. Simply:

- Click on Properties and select the relevant property
- Click on the Owner tab
- Enter the owner’s email address (or change it if already present)
- Choose the roles and permissions that define what the owner can see and do on their interface

The owner will receive an email to create their account (or log in if they already have one) and will access their platform directly.

If the property does not yet exist in Biloki, follow the steps below to create it in co-host mode.

---

**Creation steps:**

**1. Start adding a property**

Go to the Properties tab from the main menu and click Add a property. Select I am a co-host.

**2. Create or select the owner**

Enter the owner’s name and email address.

- If this owner already exists in Biloki, their profile will appear automatically - select them directly
- If not, an account will be created for them automatically when the invitation is sent. The owner will receive an email and will need to create their password to access their owner account.

**3. Add the properties**

Enter the basic information for each property to be managed:

- Property name
- Address, postcode, city

You can add several properties from the same owner in one go by clicking Add another property. Use names you will easily recognise later.

**4. Send the invitation**

Click Send invitation. The owner receives an email with a link allowing them to create their Biloki account and access their owner space. The link has no expiry date.

**5. How does your owner sync their Airbnb properties from their owner interface?**

**For Airbnb:**

Once the concierge has created the properties and sent the invitation, it is up to the owner to complete the Airbnb connection from their Biloki owner space.

💡 If you, as the concierge, have access to the owner’s Airbnb account, you can complete the connection yourself without going through them. Simply log in to the owner’s Airbnb account at the connection step below: Biloki will then detect this Airbnb account and listing as if the owner had done it themselves, and the rest of the process is identical.

If the owner was using another channel manager before Biloki, they must first disconnect the existing connected service on the Airbnb side. Here are the steps to help your owner disconnect an existing connected service on Airbnb:

- The owner logs in to their Airbnb account
- They go to Account settings
- They click on Privacy
- They scroll down to the Connected services section
- If a service is connected, they click Disconnect

💡 If no service is connected, this step can be skipped.

If in doubt, feel free to consult the article on preparing your owner’s Airbnb listing.

**How the owner connects their Airbnb property to Biloki:**

Once the check is done, the owner can connect their Airbnb account from their Biloki owner space:

- They log in to their Biloki owner space
- They go to Properties and click on the card of the property/properties created by the concierge
- They click on Booking platforms
- They click Connect Airbnb and follow the steps on the platform
- They are redirected to an authorisation page asking to connect the Airbnb account to Channex
- They scroll to the bottom of the page
- They click Accept
- They are automatically redirected to Biloki, on the property card

⚠️ The connection must be repeated for each property - make sure you associate the correct Airbnb listing with the correct property.

**What happens after the connection:**

Once the owner has connected their Airbnb account, the following happens automatically:

- All property information is imported into Biloki on both the owner’s account and the concierge’s account: photos, amenities, price, availability and booking settings - exactly as in standard host mode
- An Airbnb logo appears in the top right of the property card, confirming the connection is active
- The concierge can now manage the property from Biloki

⚠️ Upon connection, bookings are automatically closed on the Airbnb calendar. The concierge or owner will need to reactivate them from the Bookings tab in Biloki.

---

**For Booking:**

The Booking.com connection takes place after the Airbnb connection (except in the case of multi-room, see our article on this topic). Make sure the Airbnb connection has been completed for this property first (on the property card under “Booking platforms”, Airbnb should show as “connected” in green).

**Booking connection steps:**

💡 If the concierge has the owner’s Booking.com account credentials, they can complete the entire connection below directly from their own Biloki account, without going through the owner space. The steps are identical - only the person carrying them out changes.

- The owner logs in to their Biloki owner space
- They go to Properties and open the relevant property card
- They click on Booking platforms
- They click Connect next to Booking.com
- A window opens with instructions to retrieve the Booking.com ID

**Retrieving the hotel ID from the Booking extranet:**

- The owner logs in to their Booking.com extranet
- They click on their profile in the top right, then on Connectivity provider
- They check the services already connected:
    - If no service is connected: they click Search, type channex.IO, select it and confirm the connection
    - If another provider is already connected: they disconnect it first, then search for and connect channex.IO as above
- 💡 If Channex.io is already connected: they move directly to the next step
- Once the Channex connection is established, they copy their Booking.com hotel ID, visible in the top left of their extranet (next to the property name)
- The owner then returns to the Booking.com window open in Biloki, pastes the hotel ID in the Booking.com hotel ID field, and confirms

⚠️ Make sure the pasted ID corresponds to the correct property if the owner manages several properties on Booking.

**What happens after the Booking connection:**

Once the owner has connected their Booking.com account, the following happens automatically:

- All Booking reservations appear in the Biloki booking calendar
- Listings are synchronised so there is no longer any risk of double bookings
- A Booking.com logo appears in the top right of the property card, confirming the connection is active
- The concierge can now manage the property from Biloki

**Verifying calendar synchronisation:**

- If the calendar had already been reopened following the Airbnb connection: synchronisation with Booking happens automatically, no further action is needed
- If the calendar had not yet been reopened: it must be reopened manually from the Bookings tab

⚠️ To check whether the calendar is closed, click on “Bookings” in Biloki and look for small crosses on the calendar days: if they are present, the calendar is closed and must be reopened.
