Connect an igloohome smart lock to Biloki

Once your igloohome lock is linked to Biloki, access codes are generated and sent automatically with each booking. No more manual access management.

This guide explains how to link your igloohome lock to Biloki so that access codes for your guests, service providers, owners and managers are generated automatically.

Who can do this?

  1. Concierge companies (Manager role), for any property they manage.
  2. Owners, for their own property or properties.

Before you start

You will need:

  1. An active igloohome account (created via the igloohome mobile app or the iglooconnect portal).
  2. Your lock already installed and paired with this igloohome account (initial Bluetooth pairing done from the igloohome app).
  3. The login details for this igloohome account (username and password).

💡 If your lock is not yet paired with an igloohome account, do this first from the igloohome app. Biloki does not replace this initial step (the physical pairing of the lock). It then connects to your account to read the locks already paired and to manage the codes.

Step 1: Enable the igloohome integration

  1. Go to Marketplace (left-hand menu).
  2. Find the igloohome card (Smart locks category).
  3. Click Activate.

This step only needs to be done once per company. If igloohome already shows Deactivate, the integration is active and you can go straight to the next step.

Step 2: Access smart locks

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click Smart locks.
  3. Click + Add a smart lock.

Step 3: Choose the platform

In the window that opens, select Igloohome (the other option is Nuki, for locks of that brand).

Step 4: Connect your igloohome account

There are two cases:

  1. You already have an igloohome account connected to Biloki (for example for another property): it appears directly in the list. Select it.
  2. This is your first connection: click Connect another igloohome account. An igloohome window opens. Enter your usual igloohome username and password, then confirm.

Once connected, Biloki automatically retrieves the list of locks associated with this account.

Step 5: Select the lock

Choose the lock you want to link from the list. It appears with the name set in the igloohome app, along with its battery level.

Step 6: Link the lock to a property

  1. In the Link to a property dropdown, select the Biloki property that corresponds to this lock.
  2. Click Connect the lock.

That’s it. The lock now appears in your list of smart locks, with its connection status, its state (locked or unlocked) and its battery level. A Synchronise button next to the battery level lets you refresh this information manually from time to time.

Step 7: Show the access in the guest guide and on your team’s missions

⚠️ This step is essential. Without it, the lock is connected to Biloki, but guests and service providers will never receive the entry information in their interface.

  1. Go to Properties (left-hand menu).
  2. Click the property concerned.
  3. Go to the Guest guide tab at the top.
  4. Click Property access.
  5. Click add access.
  6. Choose the Smart lock option, then link the corresponding lock to this property.
  7. Repeat for all the other properties concerned.

This link is what allows Biloki to automatically display the generated access code in the guest guide sent to the guest, as well as in the information sent to service providers.

Managing access codes

⚠️ Automatic code generation only applies to future bookings (as with Nuki). Bookings that already exist when you connect your smart locks will not generate a code automatically. You will need to create them manually:

  1. From the lock’s page, click + Add a code.
  2. Select the guest linked to the booking from the list of beneficiaries offered.
  3. Choose the type Set duration and enter the start and end dates of the booking.
  4. Click Create the code.

Create a permanent code for an owner or a regular service provider

For people who need permanent access to the property (owner, regular service provider, etc.):

  1. Go to Settings > Smart locks.
  2. Click + Add a code on the lock concerned.
  3. Select the owner or service provider concerned.
  4. In “code type”, select Set duration.
  5. Choose a long duration to keep access for as long as needed.

Good to know

Remotely generated codes (AlgoPIN): manual activation required. For igloohome security reasons, a code created remotely (such as those Biloki generates when a booking is confirmed) must be entered at least once on the lock’s keypad within 24 hours of its creation. Otherwise it becomes invalid, regardless of the actual stay date. Biloki does not yet handle this constraint automatically. If a booking is confirmed several days or weeks in advance, someone (you or your service provider) must go to the property and type the code on the lock within 24 hours of its creation, so that it is activated before the guest arrives. Without this step, the code will not work on the check-in day.

➜ To avoid this constraint, equip yourself with a Bridge device. With a Bridge, codes are pushed directly to the lock via the internet and no longer need this manual activation. You can therefore generate a code when a booking is confirmed, even 3 weeks in advance, without any physical intervention. We strongly recommend the Bridge to any concierge company or owner managing bookings remotely, otherwise they would have to travel to activate every code.

Without a Bridge, your igloohome lock works in standalone (offline) mode to validate codes: it needs no internet connection to recognise a code once it has been activated. However, you will not see activity in real time (who entered, and when), and a code cannot be deleted remotely once activated.

With a Bridge, you also get real-time activity tracking, remote unlocking, and the ability to delete codes at any time.

Need help?

If the connection fails or the lock does not appear in the list, check that your lock is paired and synchronised in the igloohome app, then try again. If the problem persists, contact Biloki support from the Support section.
